Byzantine art is art of the Eastern Roman Empire. Constantine was the first christian emperor of the roman Empire. He moved his capital Rome to the greek city of Byzantine, which he renamed after himself. The Byzantine empire is one of the greatest empire and has existed for 1,125 years. Byzantium was destroyed in 590 B.C by the Persians, but later was built again by the Spartanas. Christianity became the overall religion of the Empire. One of Constantinople's triumph was the construction of the city.
